Order-to-cash (O2C) consulting that releases cash

Most overdue balances are not a collections problem. They start much earlier: a loose credit decision, an invoice with the wrong PO, a dispute nobody owns. I help finance teams fix the whole order-to-cash chain so cash arrives on time.

What order-to-cash really covers

Order-to-cash (O2C) is every step between a customer placing an order and the money being correctly applied in your books. When one step is weak, the cost shows up later as overdue receivables, write-offs and a rising DSO.

  1. Customer onboarding and credit: KYC, GST and PAN checks, credit limits, payment terms, security.
  2. Order management: price and terms agreed, PO captured, credit check before release.
  3. Fulfilment: delivery or service completion, with proof the customer accepts.
  4. Billing: accurate, complete, on time, and compliant (GST e-invoice, ZATCA, VAT as applicable).
  5. Collections: prioritised follow-up, promise-to-pay, escalation.
  6. Dispute management: logging, root cause, ownership and resolution time.
  7. Cash application: matching receipts to invoices quickly, clearing unapplied cash.
  8. Reporting: DSO, overdue %, CEI, dispute ageing, unapplied cash.

Signs your O2C process is leaking cash

How I work with you

1. AR health check

Two to three weeks. I review your ageing, disputes, process and team, and give you a short report with quick wins and priorities.

2. Fix the process

Credit policy, collection playbooks, escalation matrix, dispute workflow, SOPs and KPIs, built with your team, not handed over.

3. Make it stick

Coaching for collectors and team leads, weekly tracking, and an automation roadmap so the gains last.

What you can expect

Every business is different, so I will not promise a number before I see your data. The usual outcomes of a well-run O2C programme are a lower DSO, a smaller 90+ day bucket, faster dispute closure, less unapplied cash and a team that knows exactly whom to call first each morning.

Frequently asked questions

What is order-to-cash (O2C)?

Order-to-cash is the end-to-end process from a customer order to cash being received and applied: credit, order management, billing, collections, disputes, cash application and reporting.

How long does an O2C health check take?

Usually two to three weeks, depending on the number of entities and how quickly data can be shared. You get a written report with quick wins and a prioritised plan.

Do you work with companies outside India?

Yes. Sessions are online, and I have worked on global O2C processes. On-site work in India can be arranged.

Can you help before an ERP or SAP implementation?

Yes. Getting the process, policies and data right before you automate saves cost and rework later.
